A caged cat-ladder and walkway system for safe monthly water-tank inspections, replacing a deteriorated ladder with no fall protection.
The hotel had a rooftop water tank needing monthly inspections, but the access ladder and stairway had significant deterioration and no fall protection. The people using it regularly weren't set up to work at height or carry a rescue plan.
Rather than an abseil-based solution, we went with a caged cat-ladder and walkway system, replacing the deteriorated access entirely so routine inspections could be done safely without special training. We handled the surrounding façade repair and painting in the same visit rather than making it a separate job later.
