About Us
The people, standards and approach behind every job, a directly employed team that owns the work from access through to sign-off.
Access, repair and maintenance done properly.
Rope Access Technicians is a specialist height-access company helping builders, engineers, project managers and property teams access, inspect, repair and maintain the parts of buildings and structures that others cannot safely reach.
Since 2015 we have combined specialist access with qualified trades, practical problem-solving and clear accountability to deliver over 4,000 projects across Queensland and New South Wales. Rope access gets us to the problem; our job is to understand it, solve it properly and leave you with a result that stands up long after the ropes come down.
Founded on the Gold Coast in 2015, we have grown into a multi-disciplinary team supporting hundreds of buildings across Queensland and New South Wales. Our technicians are directly employed and each project is matched with the right mix of rope access, trade and technical capability, giving clients one accountable team from the first call through to final sign-off.
We are large enough to resource complex projects and responsive enough to stay close to the detail. Our aim is not simply to complete a job. It is to become the team you trust to access, inspect, repair and maintain your buildings over the long term.

We started the company to challenge 'good enough'
Founder Chay Taccori first got into rope access by chance in 2008. It brought together three things he already knew: building houses with his father, cleaning windows during university holidays and rock climbing at school. Over the next seven years he worked across Australia and overseas on building maintenance, height safety systems, mining and refinery projects, including time with a major IRATA-accredited rope access company in London.
That experience showed him what excellence could look like, and how often the industry fell short. Too many contractors treated difficult access as an excuse for ordinary workmanship: "it is high up, no one will see it." Rope Access Technicians was founded in 2015 to take the opposite approach, combining the best practices Chay had learned with qualified people, better systems and a team that cared about the finished result.
The scale has changed since. The standard has not. The standard should not change just because the work is difficult to reach.

Three ways we create better outcomes
These three commitments shape how we work with clients, how we develop our people and how we judge the quality of an outcome.
- We proactively educate clients, so buildings are designed, accessed and maintained properly from day one. That means explaining what we find, sharing practical options and helping clients understand the consequences of each decision, designing safe access and maintainability in early on new projects and identifying root causes before defects become emergencies on existing ones.
- We deliver compliance that works on site and stands up under scrutiny. Our reports, access systems, work methods and project controls are developed around actual site conditions and the people who need to use them, so documentation and delivery can be understood, implemented and defended, not just look complete in a folder.
- We use purpose-built technology to deliver faster, clearer and more reliable outcomes. From inspections and defect records to photographs, scopes, progress updates and close-out reporting, our technology captures the right information and presents it clearly, giving better visibility and a more reliable basis for tendering, budgeting and maintenance planning.
Our core technicians are directly employed rather than assembled job by job through layers of subcontracting, so responsibility stays clear from planning to sign-off.

We look past the obvious
Before recommending a solution, we ask three questions:
- Is the visible defect the real cause? It is not always, so we consider the surrounding building elements, access conditions, history and evidence before deciding what to repair or test next.
- Is the quickest repair the best-value repair? We weigh safety, durability, compliance, disruption, cost and future maintenance, not just the fastest way to close the job.
- What better information can this visit create? We document what we see, raise related risks and share practical recommendations so clients can make informed decisions beyond the immediate scope.
Understand the cause. Choose the right solution. Own the outcome.
Experience you can put to work
Our project history includes work at the Sydney Opera House, Peppers Soul, Circle on Cavill and major Meriton buildings across Queensland. More importantly, many clients continue to use us year after year across multiple buildings and service types.
We combine rope access with trade and technical capability across facade inspection, concrete repair, waterproofing, glazing, coatings, height safety and more. We explain findings in practical language, provide progress updates and raise unexpected conditions or costing changes early, before they become surprises. We would rather solve the cause than repeatedly patch the symptom, so our recommendations consider durability, safety, disruption, cost and future maintenance.

Built for repeat work, not one-off transactions
We measure success by the number of clients who ask us back. Many relationships begin with a single inspection, repair or maintenance project and grow as we learn the building and prove our standard. We work with new and remedial builders, trade contractors, facility management companies, engineers and project managers, together with property managers, strata and body corporate teams, developers, government organisations, hotels and major residential operators.
"I have never had a report as thorough as this. I shall highly recommend that we use your services for ongoing services." Colin Rose, Banc Apartments
Our values.
The principles that guide how we scope, price and deliver every job, and how we treat the people we work for.
Care & Respect
We look after people, property and the environments we work in. We treat clients, residents, teammates and other trades with respect, and we leave sites clean, safe and orderly.
Accountability
We own our commitments, our workmanship and the outcome. We communicate issues early, follow through on what we say and fix what is ours to fix.
Teamwork
Complex work at height depends on trust. We plan together, share information, support one another and work as one team with clients, consultants and site crews.
Integrity
We are honest about what we know, what we do not know and what needs further investigation. We recommend the right solution, not simply the easiest one to sell.
Agency (Learner)
We take initiative and stay curious. We ask questions, look for better ways, learn from experience and act on what we learn instead of waiting to be told.
