Project overview

The brief.

A height safety system redesigned from scratch after handover, making the full façade and four levels of rooftop gardens genuinely accessible, not just compliant on paper.

The building had been handed over with a height safety design that looked compliant on paper but did not work in the real world. Large sections of the façade and four levels of gardens simply could not be safely accessed for maintenance, inspections or rope access.

We redesigned the access strategy from the ground up, balancing compliance, usability and aesthetics. The final system used custom-engineered rail brackets, anchor points, static lines, ladders and access steps, all integrated into the building's architecture.

The entire façade and all four levels of rooftop gardens became safely accessible, with a system that is intuitive for both rope access crews and the gardening teams. A long-term solution that works in practice, not just on the drawings.
