Correcting incorrectly installed static lines and pigtails on a 76-storey tower so the system actually worked for the abseilers using it.
We assisted Ocean by Meriton both during construction, when we reviewed the anchor system as installed, and after practical completion. The original system had been designed without much thought for the end user or what's reasonably practical for an abseiler to reach, haul and access later on.
We replaced five overhead static lines on level 32 that had been installed incorrectly, installed additional pigtails that had been missed on the façade, and removed pigtails with sharp edges that were damaging ropes.
