Four stair-pressurisation shafts accessed by confined-space rope access, defects rectified and documented so the shafts passed testing without holding up rooftop trades.
The brief.
Four stair-pressurisation shafts accessed by confined-space rope access, defects rectified and documented so the shafts passed testing without holding up rooftop trades.
The four stair press shafts had defects that were stopping them from passing mandatory pressurisation testing, and the works needed to happen quickly to avoid delaying the rooftop trades and flowing downstream through the programme.
We mobilised a confined-space rope access team to safely reach all four shafts, installing temporary anchor points where needed. We completed a full photographic inspection, rectified the defects and handed back a photographic record of every completed item for traceability and QA.
The stair presses passed pressurisation, and the builder had full documentation of the works.
The work up close.
