Infinity is a 76-storey tower in the Brisbane CBD, with concrete fins at rooftop level that extend out over the façade. A chunk of one of those fins had fallen 230 m and gone straight through the roof of a lawyer's office below.
We were engaged to inspect the fins and repair the tips of two of them. At that height it's impossible to create a large enough exclusion zone for maintenance work, so we installed temporary fall-arrest and debris catchment nets around the fins to be certain nothing could reach street level.
Working with Pacific Remedial and using Master Builders Solutions products, we completed the repairs with full photo documentation of every step, since we were the only ones who could access the points. We delivered it at around a sixth of the cost of a cantilevered, levered scaffold.
