A curved commercial tower with near 200 m rope drops and out-of-hours access, cleaned by rope access with rope winches on the tricky eastern façade.
Aurora Place is a 40-storey commercial tower, and because it's commercial the drops run to nearly two full 200 m ropes. The eastern façade curves and overhangs, which makes it tricky to abseil, though still very achievable by rope access.
The eastern glass was always cleaned on weekends or out of hours to work around the heavy foot traffic and the rooftop design. On those drops we used rope winches to ascend from the bottom up and complete the cleaning where a standard descent wasn't possible.
