Close-Up Façade Access, Testing and Defensible Evidence for Engineers
Reliable technical decisions depend on reliable site information. We help structural, facade and remedial engineers access difficult areas, inspect conditions up close, complete controlled testing, install specified repairs and receive traceable records for reports, certification and future review.
Better site evidence supports better technical decisions
Ground observations and drone imagery are valuable screening tools, but they cannot always confirm adhesion, movement, substrate condition, joint geometry, corrosion, hollow areas or the exact path of water ingress. Close-up access moves the investigation from assumption to evidence.
Our role is to make the inaccessible inspectable. We work to your nominated criteria, record what is observed, flag conditions that differ from the expected detail and preserve a clear chain of evidence. Where repair work is required, our qualified trades can install the approved methodology and document each stage.
Undocumented substitutions, retrospective approvals and incomplete photographs create professional risk. Deviations are raised before work proceeds, not hidden inside a completion report.
Technical access, inspection and testing services
- Close-up facade condition inspections. Photographic surveys of facades, windows, cladding, sealants, coatings, concrete and difficult roof or podium areas, to agreed criteria and defect categories.
- Concrete, delamination and corrosion surveys. Hammer sounding, drummy-area mapping, spall measurements, crack recording and close-up assessment of exposed reinforcement or previous repairs.
- Water ingress investigations. Targeted inspection of interfaces, flashings, seals, joints and penetrations, with controlled AAMA 501.2 water testing when suitable.
- Intrusive investigations and sample retrieval. Access to remove sealant, coatings or cladding components under an agreed methodology, exposing and photographing substrate conditions.
- Engineer access assistance. Taking engineers to nominated facade, roof or confined locations, or establishing temporary fall-protection so they can inspect directly.
- Testing and verification support. Anchor, adhesion and pull testing where method and acceptance criteria are defined, with calibrated equipment and records.
- Installation of engineered repair details. Concrete repairs, crack repairs, sealant joints, coatings, glazing and waterproofing to the issued specification, with agreed hold points and QA.
- Post-repair verification. Completion inspections and before-during-after photographs confirming the works match the approved scope.

Where interpretation or redesign is required, we document the condition and seek direction from the nominated consultant.
